The groups in the areas of lowest economic status find themselves at a disadvantage in the struggle to achieve the goals idealized in our civilization
- Social structure theories take into account cultural traditions, the social Institutions as well as the neighbourhood, etc. Social change, can result in a disruption in Social Regulation which can lead to anomie, or normlessness.
