Parameters of a Distribution

• There are numerical values of a function which models the probability of a process. They describe features such as: centrality and dispersion (skewness).
• Example:
  • Normal distribution described by 2 paramters which are $\mu$ or $\sigma$
  • $\mu$ is centrality and $\sigma$ is dispersion
  • $f(x;\mu ,\sigma )$
