• The myocardium heart layer is excitable with electrical impulses.

• Cardiac muscles contract with electricity

• This pumps the blood

• Heart Sounds

  • Lubb

    • Tricuspid and mitral valves vibrate surrounding fluid as valves close at start of Systole
    • The lubb sound means that the Atrioventricular valves vibrate the surrounding fluid as they close at the start of the systole cycle.

  • Dubb

    • Closure of aortic and pulmonary valves at Diastole
    • When the aortic and pulmonary valves close they create a dubb sound at the end of the diastole cycle.
