Courts Aren't Easily Replicable
- Tries to be the same over similar cases.
- One input = One output.
- Social inequalities outside of the courtroom, makes it hard to reach the courtroom.
- Structural inequalities inside the courtroom can make irregular or unequal outcomes in the courtroom.
- Courts want to be objective. But they may not be able to get rid of all of those biases.
- This is the best system we've come up with so far. No other real alternative?
- Example:
- The Mafia was administering justice and was competing with the government's system for justice.
- This might cause a legitimation crisis, making people question the Legitimacy of the government's methods to produce justice.
